APRIL 23rd & 24th
Freemason's Hall
17-19 Molesworth Street, Dublin 2

A Festival of Synthesized Sound
This festival will include a ‘Modular Synthesizer Car Show’, concerts, workshops, meet-ups, and public talks. Following on from the first Ideopreneurial Entrephonics (Middletown, Connecticut, 2015), the ‘Car Show’ invites amateur and professional makers of custom-built synthesizers to share ideas, sounds, and musical spaces in Dublin’s historic Freemasons’ Hall. Demonstrations and workshops will present boutique instruments to the audience, and facilitate experimentation. Instruments will be available for inspection, with short informative declamations and audio demonstrations by presenters. A selection of participants will be chosen for a collaborative group concert. The London-based Vocal Constructivists will perform music for ‘natural’ voices, including historic and experimental works by Pauline Oliveros, Charles CĂ©leste Hutchins, and Meredith Monk.
